About the Position:
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for the Institution. Successful candidate will be a well-organized, flexible individual with strong verbal
and written communication skills (in both English and French) who thrives in a fast-paced, diverse environment. He/she will have the skills to work independently, work
under pressure at times, handle multiple priorities, activities and handle confidential matters with discretion and balance.
Location: Obili, Yaounde
Responsibilities:
Assist in organizing meetings and ensure pre and post meeting materials are prepared and distributed on a timely basis and to meeting attendees. This includes
managing a timeline for requesting materials and following up on outstanding submissions. Upon request, attend meetings to record minutes; compile, transcribe and distribute minutes. Assist the Institution with administrative duties, such as updating lecturers/instructors, partners, lab assistants, etc. Manage the administration of the institution. Assist the institution with workshop preparations and other arrangements as appropriate. Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
At least HND or equivalent in a related discipline and 1 + years of experience supporting senior level staff within an organization/institution. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment and interact quickly and skilfully with different internal and external constituencies
in order to achieve goals. Strong organizational skills; ability to perform and prioritize multiple, constantly changing tasks concurrently with an excellent attention to detail. Proactive, solution-oriented approach to collaboration with strong decision-making capability in order to guide assigned projects to successful conclusions. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in French, English a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adobe, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Photoshop. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Solid knowledge of scheduling both domestic and international travel. Excellent calendar management skills.
